Refund & Cancellation Policy

The short version

  • Monthly plans: full refund within 7 days of your first payment.
  • Annual plans: full refund within 30 days of your first payment.
  • Cancellation: available any time from your billing page. Stops all future charges immediately; current period stays active until it ends.
  • Free plan: no refund needed — there is nothing to refund.
  • Billing errors and duplicate charges: refunded in full at any time, regardless of the 7- or 30-day window.

Why we offer a refund window

A QR code platform you cannot test risk-free is a platform you cannot trust with printed codes you may never get to reprint. The 7- and 30-day windows exist so you can verify scan performance, analytics, design quality, and integration fit on a real workload — not just on the marketing site. If QRLynx is not the right tool for what you are building, we would rather you find that out in week one with your money back than at month six.

Scope

This policy applies to all self-serve plans on QRLynx pricing (Starter+, Pro, Business). Enterprise plans with a signed annual contract follow the refund and termination terms in that contract, which override anything written here.

How cancellation actually works

Cancellation and refund are separate actions. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not by itself trigger a refund of the current period. If you cancel inside the 7- or 30-day window and want a refund for the current period, email support@qrlynx.com to confirm — we do not require you to talk to anyone to keep the refund, but we do need the request in writing.

When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. Static QR codes you created keep working forever. Any dynamic QR codes you created remain active as long as your account stays within the new plan's dynamic-code limit. Codes that exceed the new limit are paused, not deleted — restoring a paid plan reactivates them.

Edge cases we get asked about

  • Annual plan, want a refund in month 4. The 30-day window has lapsed. We do not issue prorated refunds for partial annual periods. You can cancel to stop the next renewal; the current annual term remains active until expiry.
  • Upgraded by accident. Email support within 7 days. Accidental upgrades are reversed in full.
  • Card charged twice. Duplicate charges are reversed regardless of when they happen. Forward the two payment receipts to support.
  • Trial converted to paid and you missed it. New paid subscriptions remain eligible for the 7-day refund window from the date of the first charge — the trial period itself does not start the clock.

EU and UK consumer rights

If you are a consumer (not a business) located in the EU or the UK, you have additional statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations and equivalent national implementations of EU Directive 2011/83/EU, including a 14-day cooling-off period for digital services. Our standard 7- and 30-day windows meet or exceed those rights. Where this policy and your statutory rights conflict, statutory rights apply.

Frequently asked questions

Does QRLynx offer refunds?
Yes. New monthly subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of the first payment. Annual subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within 30 days of the first payment. Refunds are not issued for renewals after these windows, but you can cancel at any time to stop future charges.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel anytime from your account billing page (account → billing → manage subscription). Cancellation is immediate and stops all future renewals. Your paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing period — you do not lose access mid-cycle.
What happens to my QR codes if I cancel or downgrade?
Static QR codes are yours forever and never expire — they continue working regardless of plan status. Dynamic QR codes remain active as long as your account is within the current plan's dynamic-code limit. If a cancellation or downgrade leaves you over the new plan's limit, the over-limit dynamic codes may pause rather than be deleted; restoring a paid plan reactivates them.
Do I get a prorated refund if I downgrade mid-cycle?
No automatic proration. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. If you need a special-case adjustment (e.g., billing error, accidental upgrade), email support@qrlynx.com within 7 days and we will review on a case-by-case basis.
What if I was charged in error or for a service I did not use?
Contact support@qrlynx.com with your account email and the charge in question. Billing errors and accidental charges (duplicate subscriptions, wrong-tier upgrades) are refunded in full regardless of the 7- or 30-day window. Standard processing time after approval is 5–10 business days back to the original payment method.
Are there any non-refundable items?
Two specific items are non-refundable: (1) Enterprise plans with a signed annual contract — refunds are governed by the contract's termination clause; (2) any month-to-month subscription that has already auto-renewed beyond the initial 7-day window. Cancelling stops future billing immediately in both cases.
Do EU and UK customers have additional refund rights?
Yes. EU and UK consumers retain statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, including a 14-day cooling-off period for digital services. Our standard 7- and 30-day windows already meet or exceed this requirement. If you are an EU/UK consumer and our terms conflict with your statutory rights, the statutory rights apply.
Who do I contact about a refund?
Email support@qrlynx.com from the address on your QRLynx account. Include your account email, the transaction date, and a brief reason. Routine refunds within the 7- or 30-day window are typically processed within one business day; complex cases (annual plan partial refunds, enterprise contracts) within five business days.
