A dynamic QR code does not encode your destination directly. It encodes a short redirect link, and the redirect is what you control. When someone scans the code, our server looks up the current destination and forwards the visitor in a few milliseconds. You control that redirect from your dashboard. You can change where the code points at any time, even after it has been printed on ten thousand flyers, and every scan passes through a point where it can be counted. A static code can do neither of those things. QR Code Generator, the biggest brand name in the category, has no free plan at all: 14 days of trial, then payment details or your codes stop working, with plans from 96 euros per year billed up front. Uniqode's free plan covers static codes only, and Scanova likewise offers nothing permanent beyond its 14-day trial.
