What is QRLynx?
QRLynx is a browser-based platform for creating, managing, and tracking QR codes. You can make unlimited static QR codes without an account. A free Starter account adds 5 active dynamic QR codes, saved projects, scan analytics, logo upload, and AI Insight Summaries. QRLynx is built and operated by Jorbox LLC.
How do I create my first QR code with QRLynx?
Open the QRLynx generator, choose the QR type that matches your content, enter the requested details, and customize the colors, pattern, frame, or logo. Scan the preview with a real phone, then download the finished code. A static QR code can be created without an account. Can I create a QR code without an account?
Yes. You can create, customize, and download a static QR code without signing up. Create a free account when you want to save codes, remove the guest watermark, upload a logo, use dynamic destinations, or view scan analytics. QRLynx sign-in supports Google, Apple, Microsoft, LinkedIn, and email magic links.
What can I turn into a QR code with QRLynx?

Should I choose a static or dynamic QR code?
Choose static when the encoded information will not change and you do not need QRLynx scan analytics. Choose dynamic when the code will be printed, the destination may change, or you need tracking, scheduling, smart routing, passwords, consent, or lead forms. Is QRLynx free?
Yes. QRLynx Starter is a free-forever plan with unlimited static QR codes, unlimited scans, 5 active dynamic QR codes, and 3-month analytics. Registered QRLynx plans do not insert monetization ads between a scanner and the intended content. The free Starter plan does not require a payment card. Paid plans add more active dynamic codes, longer analytics history, vector downloads, campaign controls, teams, API access, and white-label features. Static, dynamic, and printed QR codes
How do static and dynamic QR codes work in QRLynx?
A static QR code stores its final content in the pattern, while a dynamic QR code stores a short redirect URL that QRLynx controls. Static content cannot be changed in an already printed pattern and QRLynx cannot count the scan itself. A dynamic code keeps the same printed pattern while its destination changes and can collect scan analytics. These are platform behaviors built on the same ISO/IEC 18004 QR symbol standard.
How can I tell whether my QR code is static or dynamic?
QRLynx labels every saved code as Static or Dynamic in the QR code list. From the image alone, there is no universal visual mark that proves which mode a code uses. Scanning it may reveal a short redirect URL, but a short URL is only a clue, not a guarantee. Check the saved QRLynx project before changing, deleting, or reprinting an important code.
Can I switch a saved QR code between static and dynamic?
Yes, when the saved QR type supports both modes. Switching from static to dynamic creates or revives a QRLynx short link, uses one active dynamic slot, and produces a new dynamic pattern. Already printed static copies keep their old directly encoded content, so print the new pattern if future edits must apply. Switching to static retires the short link and tracking, and dynamic-only features must be disabled first. Switching the same project back to dynamic can revive its previous short code. Static-only types cannot be converted.
Can I change a QR code destination after printing it?
Yes, if the printed code is dynamic. Change the destination in the QRLynx dashboard and the same short link will redirect future scans to the new location. A printed static code cannot be repointed because its final content is physically encoded in the pattern. Every Starter account includes 5 active dynamic slots.
Does editing a dynamic QR code change its printed pattern?
No. Editing the destination of an existing dynamic QR code keeps its assigned short link, so the printed pattern stays the same. Changing the QR type, switching it to static, or creating a different QR project can produce a different pattern. Before a large print run, save the final project and scan the exact exported file rather than relying on an earlier preview.
Does changing a dynamic QR destination reset its scan history?
No. Updating the destination of the same dynamic QR project does not delete its existing scan history. Analytics remain attached to that QR record, which lets you compare activity before and after a destination change. Creating a new QR project starts separate analytics, and changing destinations alone is not a controlled A/B test because other campaign conditions may also change.
Do QRLynx QR codes expire?
Static QR patterns do not have a built-in expiration date, and ordinary QRLynx dynamic codes do not expire because of age or scan volume. A dynamic code can still stop because it was deleted or deactivated, an expiry or schedule rule was configured, a downgrade left it over capacity, its destination became invalid, or a safety or account restriction applied. Can I create a QRLynx QR code for multiple links?
Yes. Use a Multi Link QR code when every scanner should see a hosted page containing several links. Pro and higher plans can also use Smart Redirects to send different scanners to different destinations based on configured conditions. Those are different jobs: Multi Link lets the visitor choose, while Smart Redirects choose a destination using the saved rule order.
Plans, billing, and account changes
Are QR code scans unlimited on every QRLynx plan?
Yes. Starter, Starter+, Pro, Business, and Enterprise all have unlimited scans with no plan-based scan overage fee. Active dynamic-code capacity, analytics history, and feature access still vary by plan. Traffic can also be restricted for abuse, malicious activity, or configured rules, but those controls are not scan quotas.
What changes when I upgrade my QRLynx plan?
An upgrade increases active dynamic-code capacity and makes the new plan's listed features available. Starter+ adds 1-year analytics, vector SVG downloads, PDF downloads, and Full AI Insights. Pro adds campaign controls and dynamic bulk creation. Business adds deeper analytics dimensions, CSV export, teams, leads, email summaries, and API access. Enterprise adds larger limits, eligible custom domains, retargeting, and white-label features. The pricing table is the current source for exact allowances.
How many active dynamic QR codes does each QRLynx plan include?
The free Starter plan includes 5 active dynamic QR codes. Starter+ at $7/month includes 50, Pro at $14/month includes 300, Business at $29/month includes 1,000, and Enterprise at $99/month includes 5,000. These are active-code allowances, not monthly creation quotas or scan limits. Every plan includes unlimited scans.
What payment methods does QRLynx accept?
QRLynx accepts major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, plus debit cards through Stripe. The checkout page shows the payment methods available for the account and device before the subscription is confirmed.
How do I cancel a QRLynx subscription?
Open Account Billing and choose Manage subscription. You can cancel without contacting support or paying a cancellation fee. Paid features remain available until the end of the current billing period, then the account returns to the applicable lower-plan limits.
What happens to my QR codes if I cancel or downgrade?
Paid access continues through the current billing period, then the account moves to the lower plan's limits. Static codes are not affected. QRLynx keeps currently active ordinary dynamic codes first, then the oldest ones that fit, while active GS1 dynamic codes are protected and still consume capacity. Excess ordinary dynamic codes become inactive rather than being deleted. Upgrading or freeing capacity can make room for them again.
What happens to analytics after a downgrade?
The visible analytics window and available breakdowns change to the lower plan's entitlement. For example, returning to Starter limits the dashboard to 3 months and removes paid-only dimensions and CSV export. This is an access change, not a promise that every older record is permanently stored or recoverable. Export eligible data before downgrading if you need an external copy.
What happens if a subscription payment fails?
Stripe may retry the payment and QRLynx may ask you to update the payment method. If the subscription cannot be recovered, the account can return to Starter limits. Stored QR projects are not immediately deleted, but paid features, longer analytics windows, and higher active dynamic capacity no longer apply. Excess ordinary dynamic codes can become inactive under the normal downgrade rules.
Can I get a refund for a QRLynx subscription?
New monthly subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of the first payment, and new annual subscriptions within 30 days. Renewals after those windows are not normally refunded, while billing errors are refunded in full. Enterprise contracts can have separate terms. Read the complete refund and cancellation policy before relying on a summary.
Can I use QRLynx QR codes commercially?
Yes. QRLynx permits commercial use on every plan, including Starter. You can place codes on packaging, menus, business cards, signs, campaigns, or merchandise without a per-scan royalty from QRLynx. You remain responsible for the content, trademarks, payment details, destination permissions, and industry rules that apply to your use.
Design, downloads, and print reliability
Can I customize QRLynx QR codes with colors and logos?
Yes. QRLynx supports colors, body patterns, corner styles, frames, templates, and logo upload for registered users. Keep strong contrast between the modules and background, preserve a clear quiet zone, and avoid covering too much of the code. When error correction is left on Auto, QRLynx raises the level according to logo size, using M for a small logo, Q for a medium logo, and H for a larger logo. What is the best QRLynx download format for printing?
Use SVG on Starter+ or higher when a printer needs a scalable vector file. PNG HD is available to registered users and works well when exported at the final required pixel size. JPG cannot preserve transparency. QRLynx PDF download is convenient for placement but contains a raster QR image, so do not treat it as a vector substitute. Ask the printer which format, color mode, and final dimensions they require.
How do QRLynx PDF and menu QR codes open?
QRLynx serves the uploaded PDF directly in the scanner's browser instead of placing it inside a QRLynx wrapper page or stamping QRLynx branding onto the document. PDF and Menu are dynamic-capable QR types, so the account owner can replace the file or destination while keeping the printed short link. PDF source-upload limits range from 5 MB on the free Starter plan to 50 MB on Enterprise. Test the uploaded document and exact printed QR before a full menu or document print run.
What should I test before printing QR codes in bulk?
Test the exact exported file at final size on the actual material before approving the full run. Scan it with representative iPhone and Android devices, in expected lighting, from the intended distance and angle. Check contrast, quiet space, destination, HTTPS behavior, redirect rules, and any password, consent, or lead gate. The free QR readability checker can catch design risks, but a score does not replace a physical proof.
Analytics and campaign controls
Can QRLynx track scans of a static QR code?
No. A static QR code is decoded directly by the scanner, so the scan does not pass through QRLynx and QRLynx cannot count it. If the static code opens your website, UTM parameters and your site analytics can measure visits that reach the page, but they do not measure every camera decode. Use a dynamic QR code when QRLynx scan tracking is required.
What does QRLynx record for a dynamic QR scan?
QRLynx records scan events after required access gates are completed and excludes recognized bots from normal scan counting. The dashboard can show totals and time trends, with location and device dimensions available by plan. Country detail starts on Pro. City, device, operating system, and browser detail start on Business. QRLynx does not promise that every request has every dimension because browsers, networks, privacy tools, and source data can limit it.
How long is QR code analytics available?
QRLynx analytics history is available for 3 months on Starter, 1 year on Starter+, 2 years on Pro, 3 years on Business, and all available history on Enterprise. Across the full plan window, the dashboard includes totals, charts, top QR codes, and the location, device, operating system, and browser breakdowns available to the plan.
Why can QRLynx scan totals differ from Google Analytics?
QRLynx measures a qualifying visit to the QR redirect, while Google Analytics measures activity after the destination page loads and its tag runs. A person can scan and leave before the page or tag finishes. Consent choices, blockers, connection failures, bot rules, timezone boundaries, unique-user definitions, and repeated scans can also change the totals. Use UTM parameters to connect the two systems, but do not expect identical numbers.
Can I export QRLynx scan analytics?
Business and Enterprise can export QRLynx analytics for the selected period. The CSV follows the range chosen in the analytics dashboard, so teams can use their available history for reporting, sharing, or further analysis.
Can I create QR codes in bulk?
Yes. The free browser tool creates up to 100 static QR codes from pasted values or CSV and downloads a ZIP without sign-up. Saved dynamic bulk creation starts on Pro at 100 codes per batch and 5 batches per month. Business allows 250 per batch and 10 monthly batches. Enterprise allows 1,000 per batch with no fixed monthly batch limit. Dynamic bulk codes consume active dynamic capacity.
Can one QR code route people to different destinations?
Yes. Smart Redirects on Pro and higher can choose a destination using configured conditions and rule order. Use them for supported time, location, device, or campaign routing cases, then test every branch before printing. If visitors should choose from several links themselves, use a Multi Link QR code instead. A destination update or rule alone is not a controlled experiment.
Accounts, teams, privacy, and security
How do I sign in if QRLynx has no password?
Use Google, Apple, Microsoft, LinkedIn, or an email magic link on the sign-in page. QRLynx does not issue a separate password. If a social-provider password is forgotten, reset it with that provider. If you use email, request a new magic link. Use the same method or verified account identity to avoid confusing separate accounts.
Can a team share QR codes and analytics?
Yes. Business supports team workspaces with up to 10 members, and Enterprise supports up to 100. Workspace roles control what a member can view or change, and shared data is resolved through the workspace owner rather than copied into separate accounts. Use the lowest role that fits the person's job and remove access when it is no longer needed.
Can other people see my QR code analytics?
QRLynx analytics are not public. They are available to the account owner and authorized workspace members according to role. Service providers can process limited data when needed to operate, secure, and support QRLynx. QRLynx does not sell analytics data.
Does QRLynx store the content of my QR codes?
QRLynx stores saved QR projects so registered users can manage and download them again. Dynamic codes also require QRLynx to store the destination and redirect configuration. Guest static generation is designed for immediate browser use rather than a saved dashboard project. The exact data categories, purposes, providers, and retention terms are described in the Privacy Policy.
How does QRLynx protect accounts and dynamic QR destinations?
QRLynx uses provider or magic-link authentication, encrypted connections, Cloudflare-managed infrastructure, rate limits, and destination safety checks. Security controls can warn, pause, or block a destination depending on the signal and review state. No automated system can guarantee that every external page is safe, so scanners should still inspect the destination and avoid entering sensitive information on an unexpected site. How can I exercise privacy rights for my QRLynx data?
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. Use the QRLynx contact form to make a request. The Privacy Policy explains the available rights, the information QRLynx stores, the service providers involved, and the retention rules that apply.
How do I delete my QRLynx account and data?
Open Account Settings and choose Delete Account after canceling any active subscription. The deletion workflow removes primary account data, QR codes, analytics, and profile records. Protected backups may remain for up to 3 months before automatic deletion, and payment records can be retained when required by law. Cached dynamic redirects can continue briefly while edge entries expire, so deactivate a sensitive code first if it must stop promptly.
How do I contact QRLynx support or report abuse?
Use the contact form or email support@qrlynx.com for product and billing help. Use the separate abuse report form for a malicious, fraudulent, or suspicious QRLynx QR code. Include the short URL, destination, screenshot, and what happened when available. QRLynx does not publish a guaranteed response time.
