The printed code must already be dynamic
Turning a saved static QR project into a dynamic one creates or restores a managed short route, so the generated QR pattern changes. Any static copies already printed still contain their original destination. Download and print the new dynamic version before relying on future destination edits.

Choose the design, label, colors, frame, and logo options that fit the placement, then save the project to create its managed route.
Download and test the finished file
Download the available raster format, or SVG and PDF on Starter+ and higher, then scan the exact finished file on more than one phone.
Print the tested dynamic version
Place that verified file on the final material and test a physical proof at the intended size, distance, lighting, and surface.
Open the saved QR when the URL changes
Go to Account QR Codes, open the same QR for editing, and replace its destination URL. Keep Dynamic URL enabled.
Save and verify the new destination

What happens when plan capacity changes
When an account returns to the free plan, QRLynx applies the free plan's active dynamic-code capacity. Static codes remain active. Dynamic codes beyond the available capacity are paused rather than deleted, and an upgrade restores capacity. The account keeps its saved projects, so the owner can review the active set and choose the right plan before the next print run.

Can I change a QR code destination after printing?
Yes, when the printed QR is a QRLynx dynamic URL QR. Edit the saved destination in your account and future scans use the new URL while the managed short route and printed pattern remain the same.
Can I make an already printed static QR code dynamic?
A saved static project can be changed to dynamic mode, but the resulting QR pattern contains a managed route and is different from the static pattern. Existing printed static copies keep their originally encoded destination, so download and print the new dynamic QR.
How many free dynamic QR codes does QRLynx include?
The free Starter plan includes 5 active dynamic QR codes, unlimited scans, and 3 Months of analytics history. Static QR codes remain unlimited.
Do QRLynx dynamic QR codes have a scan limit?
QRLynx plans do not add a plan-based monthly scan cap. Unlimited scans are included across free and paid plans. Availability still follows the saved QR status, account capacity, destination safety, and any scheduling or expiry controls the owner configures.
Do dynamic QR codes expire automatically?
An ordinary active QRLynx dynamic URL QR has no automatic plan-based expiry date. The owner can pause or delete it, configure scheduling or expiry on eligible paid plans, or have excess dynamic codes paused when account capacity changes.
What analytics comes with a dynamic URL QR?
Every registered plan includes scan totals, charts, top QR performance, and the breakdowns available to that plan. Analytics history is 3 Months on the free Starter plan, 1 Year on Starter+, 2 Years on Pro, 3 Years on Business, and Unlimited on Enterprise. Country detail begins on Pro. City, device, operating-system, and browser breakdowns begin on Business. CSV export also begins on Business.
Can I update the destination more than once?
Yes. Open the same saved dynamic QR, replace the destination, save it, and test the printed code after each change. The QR pattern remains tied to the same managed route.
Does changing the destination reset the scan history?
No. Destination edits stay connected to the same saved QR project, so its scan history remains together. Use campaign naming and your own change log when you need to compare results before and after a destination update.
Are edited destination URLs checked for safety?
Yes. QRLynx sends a changed destination through its current URL validation and safety workflow before completing the update. A destination that does not pass the required checks does not become the live route.
Which QRLynx QR types can use managed dynamic mode?
Dynamic mode is available for eligible URL and platform-link types plus hosted formats such as PDF, Menu, Catalog, Bio Page, Multi Link, and Digital Business Card. Directly encoded formats such as WiFi, email, phone, SMS, contact, location, text, calendar, cryptocurrency, UPI, and Pix use static payloads. GS1 Digital Link has its own dynamic routing contract.
What happens if I switch a dynamic QR to static and later switch it back?
QRLynx retires the managed route while the saved QR is static. Switching the same saved project back to dynamic mode restores its previous managed short route when available, so earlier printed dynamic copies can resolve again after reactivation.
