Free QR Code Generator

Create a static QR code immediately or sign in for a dynamic code you can repoint and track. Choose from 61 QRLynx types, customize the design, preview the result, and download the format available to your account.

Selected QR Code Type

What the QRLynx QR code generator includes

QRLynx is a browser-based QR code generator for static and dynamic QR codes across 61 selectable types. The registry covers web links, WiFi, contact details, files, social profiles, payment details, events, locations, messaging, and hosted page formats. The selected type controls which fields and validation rules appear.

A guest can prepare and download a static QR code, with the normal QRLynx guest watermark. A registered free Starter account removes that watermark and includes 3 active dynamic QR codes, unlimited scans, 90 days of analytics, one folder, logo upload, PNG HD, and PDF source uploads up to 5 MB. Dynamic destinations remain editable without changing the printed QR pattern.

Choose static or dynamic before you print

The right mode depends on whether the destination and scan reporting need to remain manageable after distribution.

How to create and verify a QR code in QRLynx

Build the payload first, choose the management mode, then test the exact exported design.

1

Choose the QRLynx QR type

Open the QRLynx generator and select the type that matches the result you want, such as URL, WiFi, vCard, PDF, email, phone, payment, social profile, event, or location.

2

Enter the destination or payload

Complete the fields for that type. URL-based destinations are normalized and checked by the save flow, while structured types use their own validation contract.

3

Select static or dynamic behavior

Use static when the final payload should be encoded directly. Sign in and use dynamic when you need an editable destination and QRLynx scan analytics after distribution.

4

Customize the design

Choose a template or pattern, set solid colors, and add an optional frame. A free Starter account can also upload a center logo. Keep contrast and surrounding space clear.

5

Preview and download

Review the live preview and readability guidance, then choose an available format. Guests get PNG, JPG, and WebP with the guest watermark; free Starter adds unwatermarked output and PNG HD; Starter+ adds SVG and PDF.

6

Test the final placement

Scan the exact exported file after it is placed at the intended size, material, distance, background, and lighting. Test the finished result on the devices that matter before a large print run.

From one QR generator to the complete QRLynx workflow

The public generator, saved QR record, download flow, and analytics dashboard use one connected product contract.

61 selectable QR types

Use type-specific inputs for links, WiFi, contact details, documents, social profiles, payments, events, locations, messaging, and hosted pages.

Static and dynamic modes

Encode fixed content directly or save a managed short link whose eligible destination can be changed without replacing the printed QR.

Live design controls

Preview templates, six linked pattern styles, solid colors, optional transparency, six frames, quiet-zone choices, and M, Q, or H error correction.

Account-aware downloads

Use raster downloads in the public flow, PNG HD from the free Starter plan, and SVG or PDF vector output from Starter+ and higher.

Editable saved destinations

Manage eligible dynamic QR destinations from the dashboard while the printed QR pattern and short link remain unchanged.

Scan analytics

Registered dynamic QR codes feed the analytics workflow. The current free plan includes a 90-day window, with richer plan controls available as needs grow.

How QRLynx handles URL safety

When an eligible URL-based QR is saved or updated, QRLynx normalizes the URL and evaluates current risk signals. The security service combines lexical URL checks with DNS evidence, optional registration-age evidence, cached reputation state, and Google Web Risk when that provider is available. Confirmed malicious destinations are blocked. Indeterminate provider results use the available fallback evidence rather than being presented as a universal safety guarantee.

Security checks reduce known destination risk, but they do not certify every future page state. The code owner remains responsible for the saved destination, and scanners should still review unexpected domains or browser warnings.

Choose the QR workflow by the job

Start from the outcome the scanner needs, then decide whether the destination must remain editable.

Website or campaign

Use a URL QR. Choose dynamic when the landing page or campaign destination may change or needs scan reporting.

WiFi access

Encode the network name, security mode, and password in a WiFi QR, then test it with target phones before displaying it.

Contact sharing

Use vCard or Digital Business Card output according to whether the details should be fixed or managed as a hosted profile.

PDF or menu

Upload and manage a PDF from a free account, then use a dynamic QR when the file may be replaced without reprinting.

Event or location

Encode calendar or map details with the matching type so scanners receive structured data instead of an ambiguous generic link.

Team campaign

Use folders, bulk creation, team access, analytics export, API access, or custom domains according to the required plan and operating scale.

QRLynx QR code generator questions

Current answers about free access, static and dynamic behavior, design, downloads, analytics, and saving.

Is the QRLynx QR code generator free?

Yes. You can prepare and download static QR codes as a guest, with the normal guest watermark. A registered free Starter account removes that watermark and includes 3 active dynamic QR codes, unlimited scans, logo upload, PNG HD, one folder, and 90 days of analytics.

How many QR code types does QRLynx support?

The current QRLynx registry exposes 61 selectable QR types. They cover links, WiFi, contacts, files, social profiles, payments, events, locations, messaging, and hosted page formats. Each type has its own fields and validation behavior.

What is the difference between a static and dynamic QRLynx QR code?

A static QR stores its final payload directly in the QR pattern. A dynamic QRLynx QR stores a managed short link, so an eligible saved destination can be repointed and scan events can appear in the account analytics workflow without changing the printed pattern.

Can I create a dynamic QR code for free?

Yes. A registered free Starter account includes 3 active dynamic QR codes with unlimited scans and a 90-day analytics window. Creating and managing a dynamic QR requires an account.

Can I add my logo and brand colors?

Yes. Public design controls include templates, pattern styles, solid colors, frames, spacing, and correction settings. Custom logo upload requires a registered free Starter account. Test the final exported design under its intended conditions.

Which file formats can I download?

Guests can download PNG, JPG, and WebP with the normal guest watermark. A registered free Starter account removes the watermark and adds PNG HD. Starter+ and higher add SVG and PDF vector downloads.

Can I edit a QR code after printing it?

You cannot change the QR pattern already printed. For an eligible saved dynamic QRLynx QR, you can change the managed destination while keeping the existing short link and printed pattern. A static QR needs a new pattern when its payload changes.

Does QRLynx track every QR code scan?

QRLynx records eligible scan events for registered dynamic QR codes. Static QR payloads open directly and do not pass through the QRLynx redirect analytics path. Available analytics details and account controls depend on the current plan.

Do QRLynx QR codes expire or have scan limits?

QRLynx plans currently include unlimited scans. Static QR codes resolve from their encoded payload without a QRLynx campaign state. Dynamic short links remain stable, while account limits and any owner-configured status, expiry, or scheduling rules govern managed behavior.

How should I test a QR code before printing?

Test the exact exported file after it is placed at its final size and on the intended material or screen. Check realistic distance, lighting, glare, curvature, background contrast, and more than one target device before a large print run.
