Open the Frames tab
In the Customize panel, pick the Frames tab (right next to Templates) and choose one of the 6 frame styles.
Write your call to action
Replace SCAN ME with your own text, like Scan for menu or Scan to win. Pick the frame color in the Style tab to match your brand.
Download in any format
The frame is included in SVG, PNG, JPG, WebP, and PDF downloads, exactly as shown in the preview.

Are QR code frames free?
Yes. Frames are included on every QRLynx plan, including the free plan, and even without creating an account. There is no watermark added by the frame and no paid unlock.
Does a frame affect whether my QR code scans?
No. The frame is drawn around the code, never over it. The QR modules are untouched and a light quiet zone is kept between the code and the frame, so a framed code scans exactly like a plain one.
What frame styles are available?
Six styles: a scan-me bottom bar, a top banner, an arrow cue, a minimal border, a circular badge, and camera-style corner brackets. Each shows a live preview with your current design colors.
Can I change the frame text?
Yes. The call-to-action text is fully editable up to 24 characters, so you can use SCAN ME, Scan for menu, Scan to pay, or anything that fits your campaign. You can also clear it for a text-free frame.
Can I change the frame color?
Yes. The Style tab has a dedicated Frame color picker next to the background, foreground, and eye colors. The label text automatically switches between light and dark so it always stays readable on your chosen color.
Do frames show up in downloads?
Yes, in every format: SVG, PNG, JPG, WebP, and PDF. The download matches the live preview exactly, including the frame, your text, and your colors.
Do frames work with logos and custom patterns?
Yes. Frames combine freely with logo upload, the 6 body patterns, custom eye styles, and colors. The frame wraps whatever design you have built.
Why should I add a call to action to my QR code?
A short instruction tells people what they get for scanning, which is the main reason someone decides to pull out their phone. Frames exist to carry that message: Scan for menu on a table tent, Scan to RSVP on an invitation, Scan to win on packaging.
Can I use frames on dynamic QR codes?
Yes. Frames work on both static and dynamic codes. On dynamic codes you can also change the destination later without reprinting, and the frame is saved with your design.
Is the frame saved with my QR code?
Yes. For signed-in users the frame style, text, and color are stored with the QR code and restored when you edit it later.
