Export the QR file your final placement needs

QRLynx provides standard raster downloads, a free 2048px PNG with an account, scalable SVG, and an A4 PDF option for print handoff.

Selected QR Code Type

QRLynx can export the same QR design as a 700px PNG or JPG, a 1500px WebP, a 2048px PNG HD, a scalable SVG, or an A4 PDF containing a high-resolution QR image. Standard PNG, JPG, and WebP downloads are available from the public generator. A free Starter account unlocks PNG HD and removes the guest watermark. Starter+ and higher add SVG and PDF downloads.

Choose the file by the final workflow, not by a generic high-resolution label. SVG is the QRLynx resolution-independent vector choice for resizing in a layout. PNG HD is useful when the design tool or production system expects a raster image. PDF packages a high-resolution QR image on an A4 page for a convenient print handoff.

Pixel count is only one part of print readiness

Final scan performance also depends on the physical module size, the four-module quiet zone, contrast, surface, printer, viewing distance, lighting, and camera. DENSO WAVE recommends printing modules as large as the available area allows and keeping a clear four-module margin around every side. Test the exact export and a physical proof before the full production run.

How to prepare a high-resolution QR file in QRLynx

Build the QR around its real payload, choose the output for the production workflow, and prove the finished placement before quantity printing.

1

Choose the QRLynx QR type

Open the generator, select the destination or payload type, and enter the complete final content. Use Dynamic URL before printing when the website destination may need later edits.

2

Design for contrast and a clear margin

Choose readable foreground and background colors, add a logo or frame only when useful, and preserve a clear quiet zone around the full QR pattern.

3

Select the file for the production system

Use SVG when the layout must resize a true vector. Use PNG HD when the workflow requires a 2048px raster. Use PDF when an A4 handoff document fits the printer's process.

4

Download with the correct account access

Use the public generator for standard PNG, JPG, or WebP. Sign in to the free Starter plan for PNG HD, or use Starter+ and higher for SVG and PDF.

5

Place the export at its final physical size

Import the downloaded file into the real label, card, package, sign, or screen layout. Keep the aspect ratio and avoid cropping the quiet zone.

6

Test the exact exported file

Open the final file on screen and scan it with more than one current phone. Confirm the decoded content and destination before sending the layout onward.

7

Print and scan one production proof

Check a physical proof at the intended distance, angle, lighting, and surface. Approve the full run only after the placed QR opens the expected result reliably.

Final placement planned

Create the QR, choose the export, test the proof

Start with the real payload so the downloaded file and physical test represent the QR you will deploy.

Match the export to the placement

Use the final production method to choose between a scalable vector, a high-resolution raster, and an A4 handoff document.

Business cards and labels

Use SVG for precise placement in the print layout, then verify that the final small physical modules and quiet zone remain clear.

box

Packaging and merchandise

Keep the QR as SVG through the design stage when artwork may be resized, then test the actual material and print process.

Posters, signs, and displays

Choose SVG when the placement dimensions can change. Judge the physical QR size from the real scanning distance, not a fixed DPI slogan.

Documents and presentations

PNG HD provides a 2048px raster for office and presentation tools that work most naturally with images.

Web and digital campaigns

WebP offers a 1500px output for compatible digital workflows, while PNG and JPG cover broad image support.

Print handoff

Use the QRLynx PDF when the recipient wants an A4 document containing the high-resolution QR image.

QRLynx high-resolution download questions

Exact answers about formats, account access, scaling, transparency, print sizing, and proof testing.

Which QRLynx QR format should I use for professional printing?

Choose SVG when the print layout needs a true resolution-independent vector that may be resized. Choose PNG HD when the production tool expects a 2048px raster image. Choose the QRLynx PDF when an A4 handoff page containing a high-resolution QR image fits the printer's workflow.

Can I download a high-resolution QR code for free?

Yes. Standard PNG, JPG, and WebP are available from the public QRLynx generator. A free Starter account unlocks the 2048px PNG HD download and removes the guest watermark. Starter+ and higher add SVG and PDF downloads.

What pixel sizes does QRLynx export?

The current generator exports standard PNG and JPG at 700 by 700 pixels, WebP at 1500 by 1500 pixels, and PNG HD at 2048 by 2048 pixels. SVG is vector-based rather than tied to one pixel dimension.

Should I use QRLynx SVG or PDF for print?

Use SVG when the designer or printer needs a scalable vector asset. Use QRLynx PDF when the handoff should be an A4 document with a high-resolution QR image already placed on the page. Both formats are available from Starter+ upward.

Does QRLynx support a transparent QR background?

Yes. The design controls support a transparent background for formats that preserve transparency, including PNG, WebP, and SVG. JPG is delivered with an opaque background. Keep strong contrast between the QR modules and whatever sits behind the transparent file.

What DPI should I use for a printed QR code?

There is no single DPI number that proves a QR will scan. Printer density, physical module size, QR data density, quiet zone, contrast, surface, distance, and camera all matter. SVG avoids a fixed source-pixel limit. For raster workflows, place the 2048px PNG HD at the intended physical size and verify a production proof.

How much quiet zone does a printed QR code need?

DENSO WAVE specifies a clear margin four modules wide around all four sides of a QR Code. Keep that margin free from text, images, borders, and cropping in the final layout. QRLynx provides quiet-zone controls in the design studio, but the finished placement still needs visual inspection.

Can QRLynx improve an existing blurry QR image?

If the existing image still decodes, use the QRLynx QR scanner to confirm its payload, then recreate that payload in the generator and download a fresh SVG or PNG HD. Recreating the code from its real content produces a clean QR pattern instead of enlarging existing blur.

Can I enlarge a QRLynx QR without losing visual sharpness?

Yes, when you use the SVG export. SVG remains resolution-independent as the layout size changes. Raster PNG, JPG, and WebP files have fixed pixel dimensions, so keep their placed size within the needs of the final workflow and test the result.

Why should I test the exported QR instead of only the generator preview?

The exported file can be placed, resized, cropped, recolored, compressed, or printed on a different surface after leaving the generator. Scan the exact final file and one physical proof so the test covers the asset and conditions people will actually use.

Keep the full QRLynx campaign path connected

High-resolution download is one part of a reliable deployment. Use QR design controls for colors, patterns, logos, frames, and readability guidance. Use Dynamic URL before printing when the destination may change. Use the QR scanner to inspect the final exported file, then verify a physical proof before the complete run.
