QR Type Guide
How Should You Use Amazon QR Codes?
Choose static when the destination will stay fixed. Choose dynamic when you need to edit it after printing, measure scans, pause a campaign, or keep one stable short link.
Best For
Campaigns where the scanner expects a focused destination and you may need analytics, design control, or a destination you can update later.
Not Best For
Cases where another QR type is more specific, such as PDF for files, vCard for contact saving, WiFi for network access, or menu QR for restaurant menus.
Before Printing
Test the final QR at real size, confirm the quiet zone, and use the size calculator when the code will appear on signs, packaging, menus, cards, or other printed material.
What the Amazon QR generator accepts
QRLynx accepts one complete HTTPS URL in the Amazon-labeled field. Paste a product page, storefront, public list, registry, or another Amazon destination that you are allowed to share and that works for the intended audience.
The preset does not search Amazon, build a product link from an ASIN, verify listing availability, apply an Associate tag, or guarantee that an Amazon app opens. A static QR stores the supplied URL directly. A saved dynamic QR stores a QRLynx managed redirect that can be repointed later and can record qualifying scans.
Check Amazon rules before printing
Use a destination and printed placement that comply with the Amazon program governing your account and campaign. Amazon Associates participation requirements restrict Special Links and Amazon marks in offline promotions. Amazon seller policies also prohibit packaging or inserts that ask for a positive review or steer customers away from negative reviews. QRLynx creates the QR, while you remain responsible for the destination, disclosure, artwork, and placement.
How to create an Amazon QR code in QRLynx
Choose a permitted destination
Open the exact Amazon product, storefront, list, registry, or other public page. Confirm that your account and intended placement permit sharing it.
Copy and clean the URL carefully
Copy the complete HTTPS URL. Remove unnecessary session or search parameters only when the cleaned address still opens the same intended page.
Paste and test it in QRLynx
Paste the URL into the Amazon field above. Test it in a signed-out browser and on the devices and Amazon marketplace relevant to the audience.
Choose static or dynamic
Use static for a final destination. Save a dynamic QR when the printed placement may later point elsewhere or needs QRLynx scan analytics.
Design without implying affiliation
Use your own permitted branding and a clear description of what opens. Do not use Amazon marks or seller artwork unless your rights and applicable program rules allow it.
Download and acceptance-test
Download the QR image, place it in the final layout, then scan the exported or printed result. Confirm the destination, marketplace, page state, and disclosure.
Choose the QR mode for the Amazon destination
Both modes open the URL you test. They differ in what is printed and managed.
| Decision | Static Amazon QR | Dynamic Amazon QR |
|---|---|---|
| Value encoded | Amazon URL | QRLynx managed link |
| Change destination after printing | Create a new QR image | Update the saved destination |
| QRLynx scan analytics | No | Yes, for qualifying managed scans |
| Amazon purchase or conversion data | Not provided by QRLynx | Not provided by QRLynx |
| Account required | No for guest creation | Yes to save and manage |
Useful Amazon URL destinations
Product detail page
Open one tested product page from a permitted physical or digital placement without asking the scanner to search by product name.
Storefront or brand page
Open a storefront or public brand destination when that page, marketplace, and campaign are appropriate for the audience.
Public list or registry
Open the exact shareable list or registry URL after checking its visibility from an account state that matches the guests who will scan.
Reusable owned placement
Use a dynamic QRLynx QR on a permitted placement when the printed code may need a different Amazon or non-Amazon destination later.
Clean, tested destination URL
Use the complete HTTPS address that opens the intended page. Remove unnecessary parameters only when the cleaned URL still reaches the same product, storefront, list, or registry.
Measure scans without calling them sales
QRLynx analytics can measure qualifying scans that reach a saved dynamic redirect. That can help compare QR placements and timing. It does not show whether Amazon displayed the expected offer, whether a scanner signed in, added an item to a cart, purchased, left a review, or qualified for an Associate commission.
Test the destination regularly because product availability, listing state, region, marketplace, account state, and Amazon routing can change the experience after QRLynx hands the scanner to the URL.
Plan compliant packaging and labels
A neutral product-information or support destination is different from a request for a positive review. Review Amazon's current seller policies before using a QR on packaging or an insert, and avoid wording that requests a particular rating, offers an incentive, or discourages a negative review.
Continue with QR codes for e-commerce for the broader destination workflow, QR codes on packaging for print placement, or QR codes on labels for label production.
Amazon QR code questions
What can I paste into the Amazon QR generator?
Paste one complete HTTPS URL that opens the intended Amazon product, storefront, public list, registry, or other page. QRLynx validates and encodes the URL; it does not build the destination from an ASIN.
Should I remove parameters from an Amazon URL?
Remove only parameters you understand and only after the cleaned URL opens the same intended page. Keep any required marketplace, campaign, or authorized attribution data. Test the exact final URL before generating the QR.
Can I use an Amazon Associate link in printed material?
Amazon's current Associates participation requirements restrict Special Links and Amazon marks in offline promotions, including printed material. Check the rules governing your account and placement before using an Associate link. QRLynx does not determine eligibility or commission treatment.
Can I put an Amazon review QR inside product packaging?
Amazon seller policies prohibit packaging and inserts that ask for a positive review or steer customers away from negative reviews. Review the current policy for the exact neutral support or information placement you plan to use.
Can I change the Amazon destination after printing?
Yes, when you save a dynamic QRLynx QR. Update its managed destination in your account. A static QR contains the original URL and needs a new QR image for another destination.
Can QRLynx tell me how many purchases the QR generated?
No. QRLynx can record qualifying dynamic QR scans, not Amazon purchases, carts, product views, reviews, or commissions. Use the reporting made available by the destination program for those outcomes.
What does the free Starter plan include?
The free Starter plan includes 3 active dynamic QR codes, unlimited scans, three months of analytics history, and raster QR-image downloads. Static QR creation is also available without an account.
