How Should You Use PIX (Brazil) QR Codes?
Choose static when the encoded information will never change. Choose dynamic when you need to edit the destination after printing, track scans, pause a campaign, or keep a stable short link while the destination changes.
Best For
Campaigns where the scanner expects a focused destination and you may need analytics, design control, or a destination you can update later.
Not Best For
Cases where another QR type is more specific, such as PDF for files, vCard for contact saving, WiFi for network access, or menu QR for restaurant menus.
Before Printing
Test the final QR at real size, confirm the quiet zone, and use the size calculator when the code will appear on signs, packaging, menus, cards, or other printed material.
PIX QR Code Key Format (Brazil only)
This generator creates a free PIX QR code that lets anyone in Brazil pay you instantly through their bank's PIX feature. Enter one of the four valid PIX key types: a CPF/CNPJ (Brazilian taxpayer ID), email address, Brazilian phone number (+55...), or random EVP key generated by your bank. The QR encodes a BR Code (Brazilian standard EMV-compatible payload) that opens any Brazilian banking app — Itaú, Bradesco, Nubank, Caixa, Mercado Pago — directly to the payment screen. QRLynx is not affiliated with the Banco Central do Brasil or any bank.
A Pix QR code generator creates a scannable EMV BR Code that opens Brazilian banking apps with your Pix key, payment amount, and merchant details pre-filled — enabling instant transfers in seconds. QRLynx's free Pix QR generator supports CPF, email, phone, and random-key formats, with custom branding, dynamic amount editing, and exports compatible with every major bank in Brazil.
The Standard for Payments in Brazil
PIX has revolutionized how Brazil pays. Whether you are a small business owner, a freelancer, or just splitting a bill with friends, a PIX QR code makes transferring money as easy as taking a photo.
QRLynx PIX Generator creates compliant QR codes (EMV BR Code) that work with any banking app in Brazil. You can define a specific amount or leave it open for the payer to decide.
Secure, fast, and free from intermediaries. Get paid instantly.
Before sharing your Pix QR with customers, scan it back with our free online QR code scanner to confirm the EMV-encoded payload decodes to the right CPF / CNPJ / email / phone key — Brazil's Pix standard (BR Code, ABNT NBR 15565) uses long alphanumeric fields where a single transcription error rejects the payment.

The 4 Pix Key Types: Which One to Encode
Every Pix QR code points to a chave Pix (Pix key) — the registered identifier linked to your bank account. Brazil's Pix system, run by the Banco Central do Brasil, recognizes exactly four key formats. The QRLynx generator accepts all four; pick the one that fits how you receive money. The key you encode is visible in the BR Code payload, so choose with privacy in mind.
| Pix key type | What it looks like | Visible to payer? | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| CPF / CNPJ | 11-digit personal taxpayer ID (CPF) or 14-digit company ID (CNPJ) | Yes — full ID is in the payload | Registered businesses and freelancers invoicing under a company; one key per person/entity |
| name@example.com | Yes | Creators and service providers who already share an email publicly; easy to recognize | |
| Phone (celular) | +55 followed by area code + number | Yes | Street vendors, market stalls, and split-the-bill transfers where your number is your handle |
| Random key (EVP / chave aleatória) | 32-character alphanumeric string generated by your bank | Yes, but reveals nothing personal | Public-facing payment QRs, donations, and posters — keeps your CPF, email, and phone private |
All four resolve to the same EMV BR Code payload that opens any Brazilian banking app (Nubank, Itaú, Bradesco, Caixa, Mercado Pago) straight to the payment screen. For a public-facing QR on a poster, counter sticker, or social post, the random EVP key is usually the safest choice because it does not expose your taxpayer ID, email, or phone number to anyone who scans. After generating, scan it back to confirm the encoded key decodes exactly as registered — a single transcription error in the long alphanumeric field rejects the payment.
PIX FAQs
Common payment questions.
What is a PIX Key?
It is the unique identifier for your bank account, such as your CPF/CNPJ, email address, phone number, or a random alphanumeric key generated by your bank.
Is there a limit on the transaction amount?
Limits are determined by the payer's bank and their personal account settings (e.g., night time limits), not by the QR code itself.
Does this generate a Static or Dynamic PIX?
This generator creates a Static PIX code (BR Code). It contains your key and optional amount, perfect for repetitive receiving. It does not integrate with banking APIs for real-time status callbacks (which requires a bank integration).
Do I need an internet connection to receive?
To *receive* the money, your bank account just needs to be active. You'll need internet to check your banking app and confirm the receipt, but the code itself is offline-ready.
