WeChat QR Code Generator: Share Your ID, Account or Mini Program
Paste a valid WeChat-related HTTPS share or campaign link into QRLynx to create a custom URL QR. Encode it directly as a static QR or save a managed dynamic QR whose destination you can edit. For a personal contact, group, Official Account, Mini Program, Channel, or payment identity that WeChat represents with its own native code, use the exact code issued by WeChat rather than rebuilding it from a name or ID.

How Should You Use WeChat QR Codes?
Choose static when the destination will stay fixed. Choose dynamic when you need to edit it after printing, measure scans, pause a campaign, or keep one stable short link.
Best For
Campaigns where the scanner expects a focused destination and you may need analytics, design control, or a destination you can update later.
Not Best For
Cases where another QR type is more specific, such as PDF for files, vCard for contact saving, WiFi for network access, or menu QR for restaurant menus.
Before Printing
Test the final QR at real size, confirm the quiet zone, and use the size calculator when the code will appear on signs, packaging, menus, cards, or other printed material.
Start with the destination, not the WeChat ID
QRLynx's WeChat type is a URL QR generator. It encodes the valid HTTPS address entered in the field. A WeChat ID, username, saved QR image, Mini Program app identifier, or payment account is not an interchangeable web address, so QRLynx does not convert those identifiers into a native WeChat code.
If WeChat already provides a QR for the exact profile, group, Official Account, Mini Program, Channel, or payment destination, preserve that native code. Use QRLynx when you have a valid web link that should be customized as a static QR or placed behind a managed dynamic redirect.
Choose the native WeChat code or a QRLynx URL QR
Use WeChat's own current code for a personal contact, group, Official Account, Mini Program, Channel, or payment action when WeChat represents that object natively. Use the QRLynx WeChat generator only when the source is a complete verified HTTPS link, such as an authorized public share destination or campaign webpage. A native code, account name, ID, app identifier, and payment identity are not interchangeable with a general URL.
Which WeChat code should you use?
The destination owner determines the correct source artifact.
| Reader goal | Correct source | QRLynx role |
|---|---|---|
| Add a personal contact | The profile QR shown or saved by WeChat | Use the native code as issued; do not rebuild it from the WeChat ID |
| Join a group | The current group invite or QR supplied inside WeChat | Use the current native invite; QRLynx cannot extend its validity |
| Follow an Official Account | The Official Account's current official code or valid public share link | Generate only from a verified HTTPS link when one is supplied |
| Open a Mini Program | The official Mini Program code, URL Link, or other destination generated through Weixin tools | Use a valid HTTPS link only; QRLynx does not generate native Mini Program codes |
| Open a campaign webpage | The campaign's valid HTTPS URL | Create a static direct QR or a saved dynamic QR |
| Make or receive a payment | The payment code issued by WeChat Pay for the intended account and transaction context | Do not recreate payment identity with this URL generator |
How to create a WeChat URL QR with QRLynx
Use this workflow only when you possess a valid HTTPS destination.
Identify the reader action
Decide whether the reader should add a contact, join a group, follow an account, open a Mini Program, make a payment, or visit a webpage.
Obtain the official source
For a native WeChat action, get the current code or link from the owner or the relevant WeChat administration tool. Do not guess a URL from an ID.
Confirm it is an HTTPS link
Use QRLynx only when the source is a complete valid HTTPS address. Open it first and verify the intended experience and any sign-in or regional requirements.
Paste it into the WeChat type
Select WeChat in QRLynx and paste the verified URL. The static preview encodes that URL directly.
Choose static or dynamic delivery
Use static for a fixed direct URL. Sign in and save a dynamic QR when you need an editable QRLynx redirect and eligible scan analytics.
Design, download, and test
Keep strong contrast and quiet space, download an eligible format, decode the final-size asset, and test the complete destination on the devices and network conditions your audience will use.
Static or dynamic WeChat URL QR
This choice applies to valid web links, not to native WeChat identity or payment codes.
| Decision | Static URL QR | Dynamic URL QR |
|---|---|---|
| Printed payload | The exact HTTPS URL | A managed QRLynx redirect URL |
| Account required | No for preview and basic raster download | Yes to save the managed QR |
| Destination changes | Require a new QR and reprint | Update the saved destination while retaining the printed QR |
| QRLynx analytics | Not available | Eligible scans of the managed redirect |
| Receiver | The phone opens the URL through its available browser or app handling | The QRLynx redirect hands the visitor to the saved URL |
How to find or scan a native WeChat QR code
Use the profile, group, Official Account, Mini Program, Channel, or payment controls visible in the current WeChat interface to display or save the code for that exact object. Menu names and availability can vary by account type, app version, region, and administrator permissions. Keep the original code image intact and confirm that it belongs to the expected account or action before distributing it.
To scan, use WeChat's current Scan control when the destination requires WeChat context. A phone camera or general QR scanner can reveal a web URL when the payload is an ordinary link, but it may not complete a native WeChat action. For a saved screenshot, use the image-scanning option available in the installed WeChat version. Review the identity and requested action before continuing.
What QRLynx adds when the source is a valid link
QRLynx manages the QR-to-URL handoff, while WeChat controls the destination experience.
Custom presentation
Apply readable colors, a logo, and a clear frame label to a verified web destination, then test the final artwork.
Editable destination
A saved dynamic QR can move to another valid campaign or WeChat-related HTTPS link without changing the printed QR image.
Placement measurement
Dynamic analytics measure eligible scans of the QRLynx redirect. Separate saved QRs can compare cards, counters, signs, booths, or packages.
Where a verified WeChat destination can be useful
Label the expected action and keep an owner-controlled replacement plan.
Hotels and tourism
Display an official service or campaign destination at reception, concierge, or guest-information touchpoints.
Retail
Connect packaging, counters, and displays to the verified Official Account, Mini Program, or campaign artifact supplied by its owner.
Education
Share an institution-controlled information or support destination with students and families, with a readable fallback route.
Trade shows
Place a tested contact, account, or campaign destination on booth signs and printed follow-up materials.
Real estate
Connect listings and event materials to an agent or project destination that the responsible owner can verify and maintain.
Events
Use the current group, account, Mini Program, or campaign artifact and test it again shortly before the event opens.
Measure the QRLynx scan, then evaluate the WeChat action separately
A saved dynamic QRLynx QR can report eligible scans of its managed redirect. That can compare physical placements and scan timing. It does not prove that a visitor added a contact, followed an Official Account, joined a group, opened or completed a Mini Program task, subscribed to a Channel, or made a payment.
Use separate saved dynamic QRs for placements that need separate results. Compare QRLynx scan data with WeChat or campaign reporting that you are authorized to access, without treating a redirect scan as a downstream conversion.
WeChat QR code questions
Answers for native codes, valid share links, scanning, delivery, exports, and measurement.
What does the QRLynx WeChat QR generator accept?
It accepts one complete valid HTTPS URL. It does not accept a bare WeChat ID, username, saved QR image, Mini Program app ID, group name, or payment account as an equivalent destination. Use the native code issued by WeChat when the action is represented by that code rather than a web link.
How do I share my personal WeChat profile or ID?
Display or save the personal profile QR provided by the current WeChat app and share that exact native code. QRLynx cannot infer a native contact code from a WeChat ID. If WeChat supplies a valid public HTTPS share link for your intended context, verify it first before using it in the URL generator.
How do I create a QR for a WeChat Official Account?
Use the current official code or verified public share destination supplied through the account's authorized administration tools. If the owner provides a valid HTTPS link, QRLynx can create a static or dynamic URL QR for that link. It cannot manufacture an Official Account follow code from the account name.
Can QRLynx generate a native Mini Program code?
No. Native Mini Program codes are generated through Weixin's Mini Program tools and APIs using the application's authorized configuration. QRLynx can encode a valid HTTPS URL Link or other verified web destination supplied by the Mini Program owner, but that remains a URL QR rather than a native Mini Program code.
Can I recreate a WeChat group invite as a permanent dynamic QR?
A QRLynx redirect cannot extend or override a native group invite's validity, permissions, membership rules, or capacity. Use the current invite or code issued by WeChat. If an authorized organizer maintains a valid web landing page, a dynamic QRLynx QR can point to that page and the organizer can update its destination.
Can I create a WeChat Pay QR with this generator?
No. Use the payment code and merchant tools issued by WeChat Pay for the intended account and transaction. A general URL QR should not be presented as a payment identity, and QRLynx does not create or recover WeChat Pay credentials.
How do I scan a WeChat QR code?
Use WeChat's current Scan control for a native WeChat action. For an ordinary URL QR, a phone camera or QR scanner can read the link, although the final app or browser behavior depends on the phone and destination. For a screenshot, use the image-scanning option available in your installed WeChat version.
Can I make the destination editable after printing?
Yes, for a valid HTTPS destination saved as a dynamic QRLynx QR. The printed image contains a managed QRLynx link and you can update its saved destination later. This does not modify or extend a native WeChat profile, group, Mini Program, Channel, or payment code.
Which QR image downloads are included?
The current raster choices include PNG, JPG, WEBP, and PNG HD. PDF and SVG QR-image exports require Starter+ or a higher plan. Export format is separate from whether the valid URL is encoded directly or through a managed dynamic redirect.
Can QRLynx track WeChat followers, group joins, or payments?
No. Dynamic QRLynx analytics measure eligible scans of the managed redirect. WeChat controls follower, membership, Mini Program, Channel, and payment events. Use authorized WeChat or campaign reporting for those downstream outcomes.
Is the WeChat URL QR available on the free Starter plan?
Yes. The free Starter plan supports the WeChat URL type and eligible saved dynamic QR use within current plan limits. Basic raster exports are included, while PDF and SVG QR-image exports begin with Starter+.
