What QRLynx QR Code Analytics Measures

QRLynx QR code analytics measures eligible scans of saved dynamic QR codes as they pass through the QRLynx redirect service. The dashboard reports total scans, daily unique scans, scan trends over time, the number of QR codes scanned, recent activity, and top-performing QR codes. You can filter the dashboard to one QR code or view the account together. A static payload does not pass through QRLynx for scan measurement.

A daily unique scan means the first eligible scan of one QR code from the same network address on a UTC day. It is useful for reducing same-day repeat activity, but it is not a person count. The dashboard reports campaign measurements without showing scanner identities or IP addresses. QRLynx excludes recognized automation from customer analytics and applies abuse safeguards to unusually high scan bursts, so the dashboard is designed for campaign measurement rather than a raw request log.

Location and platform detail depends on plan. Pro adds country analytics. Business and Enterprise add city and region, device type, operating system, browser, and CSV export. The free plan includes 3 dynamic QR codes, unlimited scans, and three months of analytics. Every paid plan also includes scan totals, daily unique scans, time-series reporting, recent activity, and top QR codes.

How to Track QR Code Scans in QRLynx

Choose a dynamic-capable QRLynx type, enter its destination or content, and save the QR code to your account. A static payload does not pass through QRLynx for scan measurement.

Name it for the placement

Use a campaign name that identifies the channel or physical placement, such as Store window, July flyer, or Product insert.

Test the final code

Scan the downloaded code on current phones and confirm the destination before printing or distribution.

Select an allowed time range for the plan. Read any gap, processing, estimate, or partial-detail notice before interpreting the chart.

Privacy, Precision, and Coverage Boundaries

QRLynx shows the QR code owner aggregated campaign data, not the scanner's identity or IP address. Approximate country, city, and region come from network information supplied at the edge. They are useful for market patterns, but they are not GPS coordinates and should not be used to infer a person's exact location.

Device, operating-system, and browser categories come from the scan request's user-agent information and can be missing or generalized. Daily unique scans are estimated per QR code and UTC day. The same person can count again on another day or from another network, and several people on one shared network can be grouped together.

Long-range reports can also display coverage notices. A gap means part of the selected range predates retained data. Recent days may still be processing. Recovered periods can be marked estimated, and partial detail means totals are available while some dimensions are not. QRLynx shows those states instead of presenting missing data as zero.

Can QRLynx track a static QR code?

QRLynx cannot measure a static payload because the scanner opens or uses the encoded data directly without contacting the QRLynx redirect service. A static website QR can still use destination-site analytics if its URL is tagged and the website is instrumented, but that measures the resulting visit rather than the QRLynx redirect scan.

What is a daily unique scan?

It is the first eligible scan of one QR code from the same network address on a UTC day. It reduces same-day repeats for comparison, but it is not a person count. The same person can count on another day or network, and several people can share one network.

Can I see who scanned my QR code?

No. QRLynx analytics shows aggregated campaign measurements, not scanner identities or IP addresses. A person becomes known to the QR owner only if they separately choose to submit information through a form or destination experience.

How accurate is QR code location analytics?

Location is approximate and derived from network information, not precise GPS. Country, city, and region labels can be useful for market patterns, but they can be missing, generalized, or affected by mobile networks, VPNs, and routing.

Which plans show location and device analytics?

Pro shows country analytics. Business and Enterprise add city and region, device type, operating system, and browser breakdowns. These fields are removed server-side from plans that do not include them.

How long does QRLynx keep QR analytics?

The free plan includes up to three months, Starter+ up to one year, Pro up to two years, Business up to three years, and Enterprise all available analytics history. Scan-level detail covers the latest three months; older eligible periods use durable summaries.

Can I export QRLynx analytics to CSV?

Yes, on Business and Enterprise. Recent detailed exports include scan rows inside the latest three months. Retained long-range exports use clearly labeled summary rows with their period, resolution, dimensions, and quality status.

Can I track all QR codes together or one at a time?

Yes. Choose All QR Codes for the account view or select one QR code from the analytics filter. The account view includes top-performing QR codes, while a focused report limits the selected range to one code.

Do I need Google Analytics to track QRLynx scans?

No. QRLynx scan analytics works without a Google Analytics property or destination-site tag. Add UTM parameters and Google Analytics when you also want to measure sessions, events, or conversions after the visitor reaches your website.

Why does an analytics chart show a gap or partial-detail notice?

QRLynx labels coverage honestly. A gap means part of the selected range is unavailable, recent days may still be processing, an estimated period was recovered from incomplete source data, and partial detail means scan totals are available while some dimensions are missing.
